Very Merry Crimson Winter Wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor | Jacqueline + Patrick

I’M BACCCCCKKK BABY. Kidding. Kinda. WOW. It was so refreshing to capture a full scale wedding day for the first time since last December. When Jacqueline reached out to me asking for some wedding photographer recommendations and my opinion on some day-of questions, I couldn’t help but offer to take a step out of my partial retirement from full scale events to capture her wedding day. AND OMG WAS I HONORED WHEN SHE SAID YES! Am I the one who was proposed to here? I digress.

We went to college together and she’s just the absolute sweetest woman - it was so lovely to see her in the arms of a really supportive, caring and dedicated partner. Patrick and Jacqueline’s dedication to each other is palpable. Throughout their ceremony and reception toasts their loved ones had stories to share about the selflessness that they each bring to their relationship and now their marriage.

Their wedding day I think is best described as romantic, cozy and pretty epic honestly. The Mill Lakeside Manor provided not only a stunning backdrop on a really rainy day (it’s good luck!!!) but the most insane cocktail hour that I’ve ever seen. From live oyster shucking to a gourmet make-your-own taco bar to Asian and Italian stations and freshly shaved prosciutto with huge cutting boards of the most diverse charcuterie. My second photographer and dearest friend was along with me for this wedding and we both were in shock at how pampered Jacqueline and Patrick’s guests were.

BUT IT WASN’T JUST THE GUESTS. The staff at The Mill Lakeside Manor were so incredibly kind to us on a level that I’ve never come across in 10+ years of capturing weddings. They cared for Samantha and I so kindly and were really wonderful at working collaboratively with all of the other vendors. Their hospitality is unmatched. Jacqueline and Patrick’s band, that two of her cousins are in, Good Noise, were INSANELY good - pun intended, I think. Hands down the best live band that I’ve experienced at a wedding! I particularly loved (and so did the guests because the dance floor was always packed) their unique way of blending and mixing a really diverse setlist.

Their wedding day was such a huge celebration of their love and the start of their next chapter together as Mr. and Mrs. McAtee. Jacqueline and Patrick, thank you for the honor of documenting these memories for you and your families. May love and laughter light your days and warm your heart and home.
